Are improved and clean toilets available in health facilities?
Improved toilets (flush/pour flush, pit latrine with slab, composting toilet) usable and clean and with access to water and soap, -separated for patients and staff, separated for women (1 for staff and 1 for patients. Total of 2 where health care facilities cater for out-patients only while total of 3 where health care facilities cater for both in and outpatient) and allowing menstrual hygiene management. Ladies’ toilet has access to water and enough space for cleaning, and meet the needs of people with limited mobility (large entry way, support handles on the door, and sides of the toilet structure, and spacious enough to allow enough movement)
Is Hand hygiene materials (handwashing station) available?
Hand hygiene materials, either a tippy tap, tap with clean water and soap or alcohol hand rub, are available at points of care (examination rooms, operating theaters, HC facility entrance) and toilets (staff and patient) with proper re-supply mechanism that is implemented.
