The main goal and objective of campaigns is to communicate the need to change a particular behavior through influencing either decision makers or individuals to adopt the proposed change. Campaigning includes lobbying those in power in the community to make changes and to build public support for that change at the same time. This can be done through events and activities which raise awareness on a specific issue such as measles and diabetes that pose a health risk to the well-being of a community. This may also include public distribution of brochures and posters or displaying these on strategic locations such as notice boards of public buildings such as Clinics or Council offices.

Community events includes public gatherings or celebrations to raise awareness on a health issue. These events can be linked to outreach activities, home visits or even during the marking of global health days mandated and or recognized nationally.
